I’m from Ridderkerk as well. This might be a first step to improve their service, but it’s town hall is still one of the worst in the Netherlands. annoyingly burocratic and narrow minded, in this town businesses fear to aply for any permits. It took my family ‘only’ 5 years to get a building permit for our house.
