What does the subject of “Revenue Management” usually encompass in a telecommunications company?
blackpepper asked:
“Revenue Management”, if it exists as a recognised discipline, could cover any number of business activities in telecoms companies that affect revenue generation or protection. Areas such as NPD, sales, marketing, fraud, churn, recognition, business process management, etc. But does it have a broadly accepted definition and scope?

It usually means the management of multi-streamed lines of revenue coming into a business. Telecoms is a very hectic business in terms of where the revenue is generated, in retail this job would be called “channel management”
