Project Management is the discipline of defining and achieving targets while optimizing the use of resources (time, money, people, materials, energy, space, etc) over the course of a project.
BPO is defined as the outsourcing of business functions or processes, such as procurement, to a third party. In these contracts the provider is responsible for performing and managing the outsourced function or process on behalf of the customer. In order to qualify under this definition, BPO contracts must involve the provider taking overall responsibility for the business process.

It is when you organize a project typically very large dollar wise usually time consuming that combines many resources to build, replace or change something at a business. For example
Putting a completely new computer system in the heart of a hospitals already existing system. Can you imagine how many steps are involved. each and every step must be mapped out planned and the impact understood. From the electricity being cut over at some point to employee s and staff being off for a day and unable to work to training to shipping and testing. This is project management. It is understanding every aspect of a project every last penny. Planning it all out step by step and then making it work and then having a final meeting to explain the success.
This can be for any business….from building planes at Boeing to building a new cell phone tower in Manhattan

Business process outsourcing occurs when you hire a third party to carry out one or more of your business processes eg recruiting or payroll.
Project management is the application of skills, knowledge, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. It focused on the project processes rather than on the technical project content.
Market research is the gathering and evaluation of data regarding consumers’ preferences for products and services.
